I've been trying to place an international call, I have 500 international minutes. I'm positive I'm dialing correctly, but it keeps telling me the number isn't correct. I'm using the format 011-971-xx-xxx-xxxx for Dubai. The local area code is correct, I'm sure of it . But the call can't be placed, is there something on my account blocking me from making international calls?

Thanks everyone 🙂, I was hoping to use those minutes, unfortunately none of the countries that I would call are on the list. 😨

As suggested a calling card option is much more reliable and cost efficient and easy to find

Sorry Dubai is not part of the international calling countries.

HI @leilasaif as said above, UAE is not part of the calling add-on covered country, try to call using calling cards instead
There are many of them, you can buy online or buy from convenient stores. GoldLine calling card is one of the popular ones:

@leilasaif hi I don’t believe Dubai is included in that add on

@leilasaif - UAE is not listed under the International addon showing in the Addon section of Self Serve. That doesn't always mean it may not work, as some locations may work even those they are not listed. But this could be the reason why you are having issues.
Consider obtaining a calling card to make calls from Canada to Dubai.
Intl long distance Add-On included countries: Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela.
Calls must originate from Canada.
