I lost my phone and need to activate a new SIM card what should I do?

if you can get a new SIM ASAP...just make sure you have no activity on your phone by looking at MY ACCOUNT. Also call your phone from where ever...may be someone will answer. I assume you have it code locked?

@BEAUREGARD what is the purpose of CallMyPhone.org if you can call it yourself from another phone? Just curious...

Oh dear. So sorry. That's sad. :{ The solution to finding your phone is to actually call your phone from another phone. Mobile or landline. Your mobile phone will ring. Hopefully you programmed Call Forwarding? You might try 'CallMyPhone.org" -- it's free (really free) and safe. There are other ways of course, but this is a start. Hope it helps a wee bit. 🙂

If you have the new sim card in hand and access to your email then do a sim swap in your self serve account with 2FA sent to your email. If you cannot do 2FA then contact the moderators for them to perform the sim swap for you. Once done place the sim card in the replacement phone and reboot.

@Yardstyle do you mean you lost your phone and hence need to activate the replacement SIM card?
or you just lost a phone, at the same time you have to activate a new SIM for another account?
For the lost phone part, are you on Android or Iphone. Both Apple and Google (as well as Samsung and possible other brands) have where is my phone feature. Logon to the corresponding provider and maybe they can help to trace where the phone is? If you are lucky, maybe you can at least send a remote command.
And , just to be safe , you might want to put go to My Account and click Lost/Stolen to suspend the service.
For the SIM, if you are getting a replacement one, avoid ordering from PM.. it could take as long as 3 week or 4 for delivery. Try to check local kiosks or Amazon if you have Prime membership.
