I just ported my number from Fido to Public mobile. My iphone 12 using esim is only showing "SOS" with no bars. I cant make calls, texts, or use data. I called the porting phone number and they said the number is fully ported and there is nothing they can do.

Help, how do I fix this ?

@maple_leaf , Yes! That was my 1st thought  to activate it… In cellular settings make sure that “ Turn On This Line” for iPhone is selected then Reset Network Settings, Reboot iPhone 🙂

HI @MKV

do you see the eSIM installed on the phone? Check the Sim Manager if it shows there

if not, maybe a setup no the PM system, submit a ticket with them here:

Hello @MKV , Have you toggled the Public Mobile eSIM on ("turn this line on") in your phone's settings (Settings > Cellular)? I've included links below that may help:

eSIM Support for iPhone:

Hope this helps.

Did you get to the eSIM installation step?   Either the app will ask for your permission to do it for you automatically, or you will get a QR code to install yourself.

If you missed the step, there is a QR code in your Welcome email.  Open it from a computer, or another device, then use your phone to scan it to install the eSIM profile on your phone

Once you installed the eSIM profile, (or If you got passed that step),  try to reboot your phone once.

If it still does not connect and if you have any active sim on the phone , disable them (eSIM/Physica sim) or remove the physical sim.  And make sure the one associated with PM sim and your phone number is enabled.  Then click Reset All Networks on your phone and it will work.  (Please note that Reset all Networks will also erase your saved Wifi and Bluetoosh connections, but you just need to add them back after). Also, it is possible you have to reset it multiple times for it to work.

if it still does not work, please open ticket with PM support

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on top right) after the ticket is opened.  CS Agent will reply to you there

Did you reboot your phone after porting? Try resetting your network settings and rebooting your device. Also ensure that the PM sim is the only one active
