I got confused by the long distance addon

I only have ON plan. if I purchase the LD addon. Can I make a phone call while I am outside ON.

Also, it's not super clear by your post if you're asking if you can make a call *to* outside of ON, or if you can make a call *while* outside of ON.  If the former, obviously yes.  If the latter, it depends where outside of ON you are.  Outside of Canada entirely, you cannot use your phone at all.  Public Mobile doesn't have any roaming at all.  Within Canada, you can make outgoing calls without using LD minutes to any number located in the province in which you are currently located.  Any number outside of the province that you're currently in will cost you LD minutes.  And *any* incoming call will result in using LD minutes as well. 

If this isn't what you were asking, my apologies.  But hopefully somebody else will find it useful if that's the case 🙂

and @Chaos_Scorpio - technically you'd be coming back to a brand new PM account, wouldn't you?  So I'm not sure why you'd expect your addons to still be there 🙂

Addon do Expire ... if you cancel your service with PM and go to another carrier... they won't be there if you return because you later realized PM is way better than X company.

Yeah, that's correct. If you only have a provincial call, then you can use the add-on to call someone outside your province. Also, it doesn't expire. You can use the add-on until you use all the remaining minutes on it.

Yes, add-on do not expire untill you use all mins. International add-on includes 18 countries other than US & Canada.

Hi @zmh1175, Public Mobile has 2 long distance plans:

1) $8/month for 200 minutes Canada/USA

2) $15/month for 400 minutes International which should cover Canada/USA.

I believe these minutes also carryforward indefinitely until you use up all the minutes.

Where are you calling outside of Ontario?  Canada/USA or International?
