How to use add on 3 gb internet ?

I am only interpreting this question another way, although I understand why the other posters posted what they did...

Are you currently on a 2.5GB (+500mb with autopay)=3GB plan?

And, are you trying to use an addon? If so, addons can only be used on an Active plan. So ensure your plan is Active so any addons can be successfully used.

Purchasing an addon is TWO STEPS; be sure to:
1. Add funds to your account, if you don't have sufficient funds  

2. Go back to the Add-Ons page and select your Add-On.

If you still see the $s in your Available Funds area, then you need to go back to complete step #2.

If you have $25+ plan now and would like to save some money and use up the 3GB add on, you can change your plan to $15 for a month.  $15 plan only give you 100 outgoing minutes and 250 MB data.   Once you used up the 250MB, PM will start to use your add-on data.  You can then change it back to your original plan after your 3GB bonus are used up

Again, that is nothing wrong to leave the 3GB there as a backup.  Just offering you this choice in case you really want to use up the data and save some money if you are on $25+ plan

You would need to use up all your plan data to then use that add-on data. Then when you renew again the system will return to using your plan data and the add-on will wait again until you run out of plan data again.
