Hello. Ever since the 911 provincial tax was introduced, I haven't been able to pay it through dialling 611. Before it, I was able to pay the amount due on my bill through 611: I'd be told that this much is due and that my card will be charged this amount plus tax. Simple. Now, though, 611 tells me the amount supposedly due plus tax, and even after paying it, I'm told that my service is temporarily suspended due to insufficient funds or whatnot. Insufficient by how much? The 911 provincial tax amount plus tax. How do I know? By logging into my online account. 611 doesn't tell me about the tax.
So, is there a way I can pay the 911 provincial tax just by going through 611? I know I can get payment vouchers or pay a higher amount to cover this cost, but why? I find it odd that even several months after the tax was introduced to our bills, we're still not able to pay it through 611. Am I missing something? Sincere apologies for possibly coming across as whiny or stubborn.
Thank you.

I'm suspecting that there's a system issue causing a mismatch betweeen the actual amount due and the amount due that the 611 system is reporting. To be quite hoenst, I wouldn't expect Public Mobile will be investing any time in the 611 system. They'd rather everyone use the online app or Public Mobile self serve website.

hi @SJee
you said you used *611 and paid by Amount Due, can you login My Account and confirm Payment History and check how much PM charged? Maybe post us a screenshot (and let us know which province you are at so we can try to work our the e911 fees)
but if you like, you can also use the *611 menu and choose the manual topup amount. Since the top up amount is preset, you will have to pick one that is more than the plan+e911 fees
