Just received my new phone and sim and wish to activate. I have an existing account with Public Mobile and that phone is dying. When I try to activate the system will not take my email address as there is an existing account. Do I have to cancel my account first? Then create a new account?

So you bought a phone from here and it came with a sim. What do you mean "the sim change was registered"?
My previous questions still stand. Email and login.

I have the phone and it isn't activated even though the sim change was registered
It is a refurbished from Public

HI @oldgirl get a replacement phone first
Then get a new sim card from telus or koodo store.
Once you got both, login to My Account and then go to Profile and Change sim card there, enter the new sim card number to make the change

@oldgirl- Did you get a new phone and sim? Is your registered email working? Can you login to your account?

What if the old phone and sim are gone?

How long ago did your old phone die?
If it is longer than 90 days ago and you didn’t keep up with your payment then your account is closed and your old SIM is cancelled.
If you kept up with payment then your just put the old SIM in the new phone then reboot the phone by powering it off then back on.

Try just putting the old sim in the new phone...see if it works right away as long as your acct is active.

Hi @Aj2022
You don't need to activate a new sim card on the new phone. Leavw the new sim card aside
Just pull the sim card from the old phone and insert it into the new one and it will work!!
Let us know if the old sim card size is too big for the new phone
