How to access voicemail from overseas?

I'm in Japan right now. How do I access my voicemail?

Call one of voice mail numbers. It might cast you long distance charges... But if you get one of free VOIP apps using WiFi it might work.

yes, you can check your voicemail from overseas

Either you call long distance back to yourself, or you can use FREE Voip app TextNow, download it and use it to call yourself

When you hear your greeting, press * to skip it and enter your voicemail PIN

As @Lieux stated, you will have to call from a Japanese number to call your number back home. Then use your 4 digit pin to access the voicemails. Just note it will cost who's ever phone you use there whatever is charged for long distance calls back to Canada. Another option is to download the TextNow app via WiFi and when picking a phone number, pick a local number to wear you live. Then use WiFi to use that app and call your number. Won't cost a penny!

The more you know, I had no idea you could access your voicemail by phoning your number from another device.

@toshiyuki  You can call directly your phone number. You will need to know your PIN.
