Ah perfect!

@Rick7506

try this:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Browse and tap on the Phone option
  3. Tap on Show My Caller ID
  4. Tap on the Toggle to turn Called ID OFF
    After you follow the steps above, you’ll now be able to hide your number when making a call from your iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Now when you go to call people, others will see a pop-up message of “Unknown” or “Blocked.”

    If still fails, tell me which software version is that

Hmm don't see that option on my Apple 7 plus.

@Rick7506

To block your number from showing on other's Caller ID:

 go into the Settings app and tap Phone. Next, tap Show My Caller ID and turn off the switch next to Show My Caller ID. You’ll know the switch is off when it’s gray and positioned to the left.

For Samsung S7 Caller ID settings

From any Home screen, tap Phone.
Tap the MORE icon.
Tap Settings.
Tap More settings.
Tap Caller ID and select one of the following options: Network default. Hide number. Show number.

Just as a little note, #31# is unique to cell phone networks whereas *67 is only for landlines. I don't think they're interchangeable in any case, but who uses landlines anyway...

I'm not really sure if *67 works at Public Mobile, but I do know that *67 did works on Telus back in the days of CDMA.  So, it might still work, but I haven't tested it.

Regardless of phone model and software version, dialing #31# as part of the dialed phone number (before the number that you are dialing out to) will always work.  This code will work as a one time outgoing call display block and you won't need to change any settings in your phone (if you want it to only be a one time thing).
