How disappointed are you with Public Mobile?

ARegularJoe

I am with Public Mobile and have been for many years now. I received $5 off with loyalty discounts, $2 off with automatic payments, and constantly received promos. I also have a YouTube channel with 20,000 subscribers and promoted Public Mobile in descriptions to my tutorials.
As of the big change last year, that is all gone. I am thoroughly disappointed with Public to say the least. I am hoping to change to another provider and am wondering what suggestions others might have. Thanks!

There is one other carrier with a very similar point reward system

They are def less known and dont even promote their system

But if you stay with them 2+ years their system is pretty good also

(however network is worse, and although I find plan packages innovative, esp for those require international calling, so for most of us we are unlikely to jump ship)

If you do the math the point change over is really a moot point

Most people end up nearly identical for monthly point % + annual discount (presuming you remain 12 months; porting out earlier results in a drastic loss of funds so the new system is clearly designed to make us want to lock in and stay)

The ONLY difference is loss of autopay discounts + new plans forced autopay registration at activation time

@ARegularJoe

I am with PM for 3 years and very happy with them. Although they got rid of the Legacy Rewards and switched to the Points Rewards…nobody was happy with that.

In the 3 years with PM, I had a couple of issues with connectivity but the CS_Agent fixed it right away.

For discounts off my bill. I am OK with the 15 points for the $15 credit.

Another positive is that my plan rates haven’t changed for 2 years until I changed my plan.

Hi @Chalupa_Batman

that was only a one time credit

If OP is actively promoting for PM, he can easily get 10+ referrals and as you know the referral are pretty much "forever' (as long as the friends stay).  And I would assume with the promotion OP did for PM, he can get many more than 10.  So, you really cannot find any carrier with such great perks

hi @ARegularJoe

I think with a YouTube channel promoting PM service, you have earned lots of Friend referral. With 1 points every month, you can easily earn enough for free service with such promotion on YouTube.  So, you really cannot get free service like that anywhere else
