Dear Public Mobile Community,
I misunderstood the meaning of transfer number to public mobile.
I used my public mobile app to transfer my wife’s phone number at Bell to public mobile.
Then it was successful, but my old phone number was lost.
So is it possible to reactivate my old phone number?
I want to open a new account and get the old phone number.
So, Please help.
Many thanks.

But did you confirm the transfer text from Bell?
Don't you already have a new sim card that you were intending to use for your wife?
Adding - we were cross-typing

You got my meaning. 👍
Steps like this:
0 On my own Public Mobile application filled information and submitted it. -- My public mobile phone
1 Bell just sent a text msg that asked to transfer the number YES or NOT. -- My wife's Bell phone
2 Reply YES - My wife's Bell phone.
3 Received a msg from Public Mobile said to restart my phone -- My public mobile phone.
4 Restart my phone - My public mobile
5 Ending My wife's Bell phone Bell service stopped. I got my wife's phone number on my phone and I lost my phone number.
So....My fault...

Right now I have the right way to change providers. But late.
Using an absolutely new Public Mobile application account then transfer.

@Tom2019 Got it, thanks for clarifying.
Follow @dust2dust's advice and contact Public Mobile via direct message ASAP. If the number originated with Public Mobile (i.e. it wasn't originally ported from another carrier), the number should still be in Public Mobile's number pool to be recycled in a few months. It's possible they can resign that number to a new account, but you'll need to ask them. Message them directly here:

Question, Right now, I want to get a new SIM Card and set up my old lost Number.
I am not sure is it possible.

My meaning is to Change Provider. From Bell to Public Mobile.

@DennyCrane- I'm sure the customer can explain it his way but I think he wanted a new account with his wifes phone number from Bell. But he was in his account and transferred it into that account instead.
Wait, as I write this, @Tom2019 - did you confirm the transfer text from Bell with the Bell sim in a phone?

@dust2dust I'm just not clear what the intent with the Bell number is.

It's a reasonable mistake. I would think the number is still kind of in Publics possession and that the OP can open a new account and ask them to put that old number into the new account. I think Bell can kind of be out of it. It's a lot like transferring numbers between accounts of course but with how slow and awful the site is, customers can easily make mistakes.

Sounds like you have 2 problems:
1) You lost your PM number when you did a number change and ported the Bell line in.
2) Your wife's Bell account would be automatically closed when you ported the number.
Are you needing your wife's account at Bell setup again too? If PM reinstates your PM number, the Bell number will likely be gone.

Contact support, quick. You'll be asked a bunch of verification questions. Your 4 digit pin is the easiest. :
