Hello,
I've had Public Mobile for 15 days now but yesterday I finally started using the SIM card. I ported over my old number from Bell.
On my Public Mobile SIM I am able to make calls no problem. I am also able to receive and send text messages to/from a couple of my friends, on is on Koodo im pretty sure. My parents are on Bell and I am not able to text them or receive texts. I am able to call them though.
Data is working fine, its just this issue Im having with some people. I think it might be a porting issue?

What type of phone are you using? And are you using a 3rd party messaging app like textra? Sometimes these can have proxies that mess things up.
If this is the case, try your stock messaging app.

Best thing to do is send a private message to the MOD.
One of them is @Shazia_K, she is quick and online today. Send her the message.
Expect some wait time since Public mobile have a lot of back log from the fall promo.
near your name there a mail symbol, click on it and there you can send the private message to the MOD.
Hope you problem get fixed soon.
When all is fixed you will be happy and enjoying the cheap public mobile plan like the rest of us.
