Getting charged B.C PST (Provincial Sales Tax) from Alberta, where there is no PST.

As the headlines suggests. This has been happening for at least 4 years. I'm not looking to recover my PST, I just want the charges to stop. My number is from BC, where I use to live.

Thanks!

If you want to keep your BC number, do as @hairbag1 suggested and buy vouchers at local convenience stores. And bonus, if you have a credit card with point multipliers, places like 7-11 may count for a multiplier. I use an Amex Cobalt which gets me 5x points on grocery, restaurants, convenience stores etc; so by buying Public Mobile vouchers at 7-11 I get 5x the credit card points. In your case you'd also save the PST.

another option is to get to 7/11 or Shell or other retail outlets in Alberta and buy Public Mobile payment vouchers. Add the vouchers to your account for plan renewals.

Hi,

The charges are based on your phone number area code. If you would like for the charges to stop, the only way would be to change your phone number.

@lolskylar_01

taxes are charged based on your number. If your number is a BC number, you pay all BC taxes.
