Fraudulent text coming from my phone

Fraudulent texts coming from what appears to be my Public Mobile phone number are going to my son's mobile phone. The messages say I am in trouble and need his help. My son gets these frequently, his phone is with a different Canadian provider. How can these messages be stopped? If he blocks the number he won't be able to get texts from me it appears.

SMS or iMessage?

IF SMS, I would check your PM My Account, usage history and see if any record showing you send SMS to your son at the times your son recieved the fraudulent texts.   If it confirmed you sent the texts, then it is in your phone. Maybe wipe your phone

hi @JHPCornwall this is a scam text. Since it is coming from a known number, if is not caller id spoofing.  Either your phone or some accounts are compromised or his phone or accounts

Both of you should report to your carriers and even report to police if the issue presists
