Fraudulent charge on my cc from Public Mobile

Rsalvador1

There was a $43 charge from Public Mobile on my credit card from Nov 6. I am not and never have been a PM customer. I don’t have an email regarding this transaction, only a transaction number on my credit card. I don’t know what this charge is for. Can someone help me??

Is it possible you may have allowed an individual to utilize your credit card to set up a Public Mobile account, then expected them to remove your credit card information subsequent to their activation?

Some new customers activating here use another's credit card to get the service when they don't have one themselves, then are unaware the card continues to be billed on renewal dates through an automatic payment arrangement which is defaulted upon activation.

Otherwise, surely dispute the charge promptly either through this place or your card provider.

If you have no other business with Telus or Koodo or Public and you can't think of anybody using your card then just get the bank to do a chargeback. Maybe your card is being used fraudulently.
