Esim won't update to a number change

Rossaa

OK so I bought an esim and subscribed to another plan to have two accounts, I made a separate account on the app to do this for the esim account.

I changed my number on the app, however it won't update to the new number on the esim. This is with public mobile, however I have a pixel 8 with graphene OS installed.

I have asked the same question on their forum if it's specific to my operating system or specific to public mobile. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks I just ended up messaging them. Hopefully they can restore at least one esim to a number or restore the solid sim card so I can use my phone.

I originally had one esim for my main account with PM (which worked), and I created another account with a different email for another PM for that different number. The esims got deleted, I bought two esims on either accounts again and neither esim loaded with my account. This is the new problem I need to face

to confirm, is PM the only esim there? you removed all other physical sim and disabled the old esim?

and you can ask PM to reprovision the account, maybe it would help Pixel to pickup the phone number.  Just open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. (For 2FA when login, you might need to use email to receive if you cannot receive the text on the phone.)  Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen

Thanks again for the reply, I tried all that and it didn't work. So I reset my esims and bought a new one, but now it's not even putting either of my accounts onto it leaving it a blank esim. Really frustrating. Thanks for your help anyway

@Rossaa

To reset network settings on a Google Pixel phone, navigate to Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth, then tap Reset settings. please note that this will also clear saved Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth connections, but you really need to do this

and i really think you need to do the uninstall Google Messages and reinstall

Thank you for your reply, it can recieve calls and texts but the problem is some apps require calls/texts permissions so they can automatically recieve the number, this means the app takes the old number rather than the new one and I don't recieve the message.

Would you know how I reset network settings? The whole purpose of my having Graphene OS is that I have absolutely no Google on my phone, so it's starting to sound this would be an operating system

first, you can receive phone calls with the new number?  If so, the phone number not update is just on the Pixel settings.

did you try Reset Network Settings? Try to reboot phone first and then Reset Network Settings

if still seeing the old number, try to uninstall Google messsage first.  It won't fully uninstall, it will just uninstall the updates and go back to the base version.  Then reboot phone and then go to Play Store to Update Google Message again and it should fix the problem
