My phone bill is $35 Feb 2025. Within a week, I downgrade to cheaper plan $32. After a day I saw another lower plan so I switch to it $29. Basically I was triple charged 3 times for phone service. Plan change fee or penalty is acceptable. However what public mobile does is shocking. They basically charged me 3 times. It means I paid 3 phone services for Feb 2925. They claim these are valid charges. I am totally shocked of such scamming. No internet or phone company will impose such scamming tactics. If you have advise or similar experience please share. Videotron, bell does not do this. Triple charging customers for same service when I only down grade my plan

You won't be making this error 10 times, credit card should have blocked it on the 3rd or 4th attempt for fraud protection

If I change plan by error 10 times totally $1000 or so. It will still be valid as you said?
If so such billing practice is really a deliberate trap for scamming customer extremely well done bravo 👍

But don't you find it ludicrous that pm double charge people for plan change. It runs contrary to normal business practice.

@Che2 First off we are all customers here just like you. Second, the warning in the pop up isn't a "protective illogical term". It's quite clear to me. If it wasn't obvious to you, open a ticket with customer service using the icon. If it gives you errors, send a direct message at: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

Your plan is one of a kind with such protective illogical terms. Penalty is high meaning if someone changes plan you double charge her. I see why people seek alternative reputable carriers for service than public mobile. These are valid reason why they change

@Che2 When you change plans it is always advisable to select "change on renewal". You lock in the plan you want and don't get billed right away like you were. You were given a choice as seen in the first picture. If you select "Change now" a warning message pops up telling you that you will be billed right away and no refunds can be given. Then at the bottom is the button that says "Pay now".

Advise me clearly when what date what term what condition I can change plan without incurring your so called "valid charges"

EVERY time you change a plan 'NOW' you will be charged for a cost of a new plan. No refunds, unfortunately.
If you want to change a plan painlessly then you should SCHEDULE plan change at next renewal.
PM is prepaid service and when you change a plan PM assumes you want to use it for the next 30 days. This is not a SCAM.
