Changing upon renewal?

jwgouldd

Hi there!

I subscribed to the 34/month 50gb can/us/mex plan on December 1st, and noticed today that there is a new offer for 75gb for the same price until December 31st. My current plan renews on January 1st.

It gives me the option to change now, or ‘upon renewal’. If I select ‘upon renewal’ will I still get the discounted price of the plan? Or will I end up paying the raised price since the deal ends on the 31st?

I want to avoid losing out on my last few days of my current plan.

By setting it to change on renewal before the offer expires, you're locking it in. *No* need to renew effective today just to get the deal.

It is recommended to change at next renewal since PM does not pro rate plans.  Your scheduled plan changed will be honoured even if the deal is expired by the time of next renewal.

Hello @jwgouldd

Always best to set it for renewal so you don't lose money you've already spent. And don't worry, if you choose at renewal date, it won't change from the offer provided. I would however take a screenshot of the offer and every step there within just in case the plan doesn't change on Jan 1st. This way you have proof.

EDIT: If you take a moment to think and do the math, might as well change it now instead of renewal IMO. If you changed it now, you'd lose $5.83 plus tax. IMO, that's peanuts to lose. Might as well jump on the good plan now.
