Changed to 4G 15GB plan but still getting 3G speed

Hi everyone,

My account was officially updated to the $40 15GB 4G plan today but I'm still getting 3G speed (~3mbps). Do I need a new sim card to get the 4G speed? Thanks.

No you do not need a new SIM card- besides waiting approx 48 hrs as others have mentioned, check your phone settings to make sure your cellular data setting is set to LTE vs 3G.

my plan switched over Nov 24, did a speed test and it was still showing 3G speeds. 3G was selected in my iPhone settings, after changing it to LTE I did another test and it’s now getting LTE speeds. Did not have to wait 48 hrs in my case

@Kyang4881 They say 24-48 hrs for the speed to change .. no need for a new SIM card

Don't worry.  It will take about 48 hours for the speed to increase to 4G.
