Cannot find my new cheap phone on the compatibility tool?

I am getting a new phone, cheap but all I need. It is a PACKARD BELL AIRPHONE 5000. I ordered it but just realized I should check if it is compatible and it is not listed on the list. What do I do?

Please note that PM uses 3G(HSPA) for voice calls. Therefore, you phone must support HSPA.  You can use the slower 3G data instead of LTE data.

The phone should work with Public mobile

Here are the specs from bestbuy.ca website

GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz; 4G HSPA+ 850, 1700/AWS, 1900, 2100 MHz; 4G LTE 2, 4, 5, 7, 17

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

  • 4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).  band 12, band 5, band 2, band 1, band 4
  • HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

  • HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).

Please note that this information is indicative only. Your phone's compatibility with our 4G or 4G LTE networks is based on the radio frequencies of your phone. Public Mobile does not guarantee that your phone will work on our mobile network.

I think there are many phones not listed but it also seems that most will work.

Since you’ve already ordered it I would just go ahead and give it a try.

You can likely find the bands it operates on and compare to the ones PM uses. Since you are already a PM customer you can just put your SIM card in the new phone when it arrives and see that it works.
