@Mark987 So is that the 2020 Moto G Power? PM's VoLTE list says 2022 is the oldest approved. Also I think the security update in PM's VoLTE approved list is more recent than the one you have. But you can test the phone while in Canada, turn off wifi, turn on cellular data and make a phone call. Does the phone stay on LTE or does it drop to 3G?

hi @Mark987
your phone should have VoLTE, try manually connected to all 3 networks and test, T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. Also, make sure you change the mode to 4G or LTE before you try on each network

I see:
Android version: 11
RPMS31.Q1-54-13.3-10
Security Patch April 1 2022
this is the latest software

@Mark987 This model is on Public Mobile's VoLTE list so should work for voice calls in the USA, does this match the specifications of your phone?

phone is set to LTE, there is no 5G setting. I have a Moto G Power, a few years old but otherwise working ok
thanks

@Mark987 People have mentioned that in some areas AT&T doesn't work if the phone is set to connect on 5G. So sometimes it helps to drop the phone to 4G/LTE. If your phone is not PM "certified" for VoLTE then voice calls will be a problem as there is no more 3G in the USA. We might be able to troubleshoot more if we knew what phone you had and what it was set to, but seems you got it working in the end in any case.

what phone you have?? Non VoLTE whitelisted phones need T-Mobile's 2G network
but if you just need data , try Verizon and ATT
for voice, maybe use VoIP app TedtNow to make calls on the app using data
