I have a LG s2 and I can't receive pictures. Today is my first day with Public Mobile. I have restarted my phone and nothing. Any suggestions?

The reason is because you have to go into your settings and change your APN settings. Otherwise you will not be able to use your internet or receive pictures. You just click settings go down to where it says more then click APN settings and change them to the ones from this link https://apn-canada.gishan.net/net_15_public_mobile_internet_and_mms_settings.php hope this helps.

@mkronister glad to hear you're back in business, and that a factory reset was not required.  Phew!

Thanks everyone for your help!  I had to add an APN and it now works.  Thanks!

@mkronister welcome to Public Mobile!  If @imm1304's and @will13am's suggestions (try them first) do not resolve the issue, you may need to back up any data (photos, contacts, etc) you wish to keep that are not already backed up or synced to a cloud-based service and perform a factory reset on your phone to resolve the issue.  Some LG G-series phones seem to need this after switching providers in order for the data service to start working.

But as I said, first make sure you have mobile data turned on (whether or not you have any in your plan--don't worry about being billed, PM is entierly pre-paid so you'll never get a surprise bill at the end of the month), and that your APN settings are configured correctly.

I just noticed the go to thread on APN settings suggests leaving the APN type field blank.  Although it may not totally matter, I typically put default, mms, supl in that field.  This was also the default value for my phone.  For some devices that don't play nice with tethering, the APN type field should include dun as well (default, mms, dun, supl).

Hi @mkronister,

Please follow @will13am's suggestion and ensure that you have entered the APN settings correctly.

Also, make sure that mobile data is enabled and that you are not testing MMS while connected to wifi.  MMS requires a data connection, but doesn't use any data from your data allowance.
