Can't Use Data on Motorola G Play - 2023, all of a sudden

My wife and I are both on Public Mobile. She has a Motorola G Play phone which has worked fine for the last year but all of a sudden a couple of days ago, she cannot connect to apps that require cell data, when she is not connected to the internet. Facebook, Gmail, and Messenger, and Text Messages all work when on the cell network. However she cannot use Google to search the internet when away from home. Mobile data is set to on, although it was not when she gave me the phone to look at it. Turning it on, made no difference...

Any thoughts on what the cause may be? I am not sure if it is something she has done, or something else gone wrong.

I should have checked my wife's account status first, but we were away from home when this issue started. It is now showing no data, no minutes, and no reward loyalty and referral discounts. We have been on this service since 2019. It is like her account was totally wiped out and she was started as a new user on Nov 28. There is no record of her useage prior to Nov 28. So, this appears to be a Public Mobile problem. I guess I should start a new thread and ask for help?

@Ron210 , check if mobile data usage limits have been set on the phone.  If limits are set and reached, mobile data will stop.

HI @Ron210

i would try to uninstall one app and reinstall and test

and Reset all networks will help as it will reset the APN

HI @Ron210

are voice calls and text working?

try reboot the phone first, then Reset Network settings on the phone and test

if fails, try your sim card on another phone if possible
