Is there anyway to transfer my old phone number for a new Public Mobile account if my old phone number was a Rogers number with a Rogers 20 digit SIM?

There isn't a definitive way for anyone to accurately answer this question for you without knowing which city your phone number is from.  It's true that most Rogers phone numbers can be ported to Public Mobile, but not all can.  There are some phone numbers from some cities that aren't eligible to be ported to Public Mobile (or Telus Mobility or Koodo Mobile).

many people transfer number from Rogers to PM daily

make sure your Rogers account is active, get the Rogers account number

buy PM sim card , unless you use eSIM. Download PM app and subscribe.  The phone number transfer step is after payment step.
