Anyone Get the $20 off the $55 when changing plans at a later Date?

Last night I changed my plan for the first time since getting the 90-day plan from back in 2016.  Since I have only till December 10 for the renewal date, I set it to change on that date.   I put in the $20 off coupon when I went to change the plan and it accepted it (have a screenshot of it accepted) and confirmed that I want to change the plan at that date.   I don't see any indication other than the plan change page that I will be getting the $20 off.  Can anyone confirm that I will receive it?

@golfball It's really up to you. However, $35 for 20GB is cheaper than $40 for 15GB and it provides more data.

On the other hand, the $35 promotion is really a $55 plan with a $20 credit for 15 months.

Is it likely that another promotion will become available before the 15 months. Yes, is it for sure? No. A family member had originally just switched to the $40 for 15GB plan and then switched to the $35 for 20GB promotion for the time being. 15 Months will include another Cyber Monday and Boxing Day. So we're crossing our fingers that something will come up that matches or exceeds the current deal.

Nonetheless, the $40 for 15GB might not be around permanently. It does seem plausible though as there seems to be an uptick of more gigs for less lately with all the other carriers that it will stick around.

You have to make the decision for what works best for yourself. Good luck.

Thanks Mate I'll reach out to the CS agent and see if I can get it done.  Don't want to pay $35 for 6 days of service when my current amount of data will suffice for now.

@jlm1991 I would reach out to @CS_Agent to start the process.

Since you have been with them since 2016 and you have a screenshot of the promo code being accepted they may be able to work with getting you that plan.

I made my change to be effective at the next renewal date. However, when checking on the next day, November 29th after the Cyber Monday Promotion ended the discount no longer appeared and only the $55 plan without any mention of the credit displayed in my plan details.

After contacting the @CS_Agent they were able to work with me in order to switch to that plan and somehow I was able to keep the credits I had used to renew my account which was on the 28th of November.

I'm sure if you explain the situation they will be able to help you out.

Here's a bit more detail on contacting a Customer Service Agent.

I'm currently scheduled to switch to the $40 15GB plan at next renewal. Is it recommended to switch to $35 for 20GB instead?

Makes sense, just checked my mother's account and I see it on her account still.

Someone can confirm, but I think that once you make a plan change at renewal that plan then disappears from the list.

Those who have done the immediate plan change option got the $20 discount and when they look at the payment tab, the $20 discount shows up there as well.  How do explain that?

I found this post.  The explanation is really a hard read but it looks like the first renewal was botched but appears to be right for subsequent renewals.

That is what I have too.  If you go to the payments tab, the $20 discount is nowhere to be seen.  The unfortunate thing is the payments tab information is accurate based on feedback so far.

If you did not screen cap the promo code being accepted, you can simply cancel the plan change and go through the process again and do the screen caps.  The deal is still available today.  I have my doubts with advocating after the fact.  If it works, it works.

@jlm1991 , I have not seen any reports of success in getting the $20 discount with scheduled renewal even though it has been suggested that it would work.  I too have the plan change queued up and waiting to see if anyone can report success.

As mentioned before in other threads that plan was meant for new activations. Some existing customers have had success for an immediate plan change, but no one is sure about changing the plan at renewal. YMMV.
