US roaming is through AT& T and T-mobile.  If you check their website - you can find coverage maps.

@TeresaU  Yes, if you would like to be able to make/receive calls and send out texts using your PM number you will need to purchase a 10 day US roaming add-on. If you are going to be in the US for longer than 10 days you might want to look at purchasing a prepaid sim card down there.

Yes, you will need to buy a US roaming add on.  Except, if you are on the new $60 plan with USA roaming included.  

You will be able to receive texts, but unable to call or send texts without US roaming add on.
