How long does it take to be able to use the sim card after activation? more than 24 hrs passed and my sim card still doesn't work, I am locked out of My Account. All I received is an email about my credit card payment

Even when porting a number in, activation is still supposed to be instant. However, incoming calls and incoming text messages won't work until porting is complete.

@palci - were you charged for the SIM card activation?

If after restarting your phone still doesn't get you an services, can you try your sim card into another compatible phone?

If the sim does not work in another phone, then contact CSA by methods provided.

 

If the sim card does work in another phone, then is your other phone locked by a previous provider or is it blacklisted  https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/ ?

@palci do you see any error message on the top of thr phone like SIM not provisiones, No Network?  It seems like a SIM provisioning problem. You can first try to reseat your SIM or try on another phone.

 

If that doesn't work , open ticket with PM Support

Acrivation is instantaneous.  First, try rebooting your phone you haven't already.  Were there any error messages during the online activation?
