6.95 fee for vouchers? 40$

I don t own a credit card and PM does not accept prepaid credit cards.

Please allow me to bump into the conversation.  

There shouldn't be any fees while purchasing a payment voucher, the only fee would be the applicable government's taxes.

@dboxtvinfo, can you please specify the location where you brought the payment voucher from?

Re Prepaid Visa.

publicMobile does allow a prepaid visa for monthly / cycle payments.  I signed up for a reloadable no credit check card, with minimal associated fees.

Loading money from from my account direct to the card is free.  Using the Visa card is free.  $10 activation charge.  $10 annual fee.  It works, it's easy, there are no other charges.  If you sign up for auto pay, your $10 fee is paid after 5 months in PM savings.

I know ONT used to have 15% when HST was still in its GST 7 and PST 8%

Then the Fed Gov in 2007nish reduced the GST by 2 to 5%

Wouldn't be surprised to see that go back up to 7, or perhaps 8 or 9%

so 17% may not be out of the picture entirely, just depends on policy

$6.95 is 17.375% of $40. No province has a total sales tax rate exceeding 15%.

Hi. I did the Calculation, when it comes to vouchers, there is the dreaded HST, or GST and PST depending on where you live.

Lets say, ONT, $40, x 13% HST= $45.2

So, how to Calculate, type 40 x 1.13,

Or what your Prov Tax rate is, and that will be your amount owing

So, like 1.13 = 13%

1.07 = 7%

The fees, differ from each amount.
40$=6.95
20 would be cheaper and so on.

I am not sure about rest...i have 10 days too figure this ...later.

I need more time too clarify.....Oh...a fee from store i paid is not a tax. Its a fee from STORE.

What are you talking about.
I paid 6.95 fee for a 40$ voucher.

I also stated above, i do not own a credit card and PM does not accept prepaid credit cards, as it happened too me....thats why i bought a voucher.

Lastly, a bank or debit card can do?
Let an administrator private me on how too do.

I hope i wont have same difficulties as last 2 months.

The 6.95, you will pay it even though you use your debit or credit card since it's a government taxe. You can't skip the taxe.

There shouldn't be any fees for buying vouchers. 

To make it better and cheaper, now a days you can easily get credit card or visa debit.
