Do I need a new sim card when I change to a 5g plan?

Thank you to everyone who responded. I appreciate it. My new 5g plan started today and it took a couple of reboots of my phone to start showing that it was accessing the 5g network.

If you already have a SIM card, you’re good to go. You may need to restart your phone after the change of plan for it to pick up the plan on your phone.

If you have a physical sim card you do not need to purchase a new one. You only purchase sim if you change phones or have an esim.

No, the SIM card you currently have will continue to work just fine.
