I'm just curious if the two following plans have an Expiry date, or if they will be around to stay?
I know you cannot see these Plans on the Public Mobile Rate Plan website, however when Activating or switching the Plan on your current My Account both are available in the Select New Plan Section.
I've looked though as many announcements as I can, and I've tried to read as many comments as I could but I can't find an Expiry date for these two Plans.
I've previously messaged into the immediate live chat available on the actual Public Mobile Website, and they told me the $45 for 20GB had already expired but it's still there and I've been able to activate it when referring friends still, I was also told on this same live chat that the 15GB for $40 would expire on November 27th 2022, however both are still there and available for activation so I'm wondering how much longer they will stay if they aren't permanent.
Thanks.

The $35 for 20 GB 15 month promotion was a good deal, by next November something better may come and with no contract you can always move to another plan if a better one presents itself.

Saw in Red Flag Deals yesterday someone had a chat with PM rep and they indicated the promotion would likely be over New Year's Eve. 🎉

not sure what the expiry was. When I was coming back to Public Mobile, I was attracted by the $40 for 15GB which somebody else I knew had. The plan wasn't available on their site, but an agent using the chat assured me I could select it while activating my SIM card. I went ahead and purchased the SIM card.
The $40 for 15GB was indeed available only when I activated my SIM card and was selecting a plan. However, I was able to get the $35 for 20GB. Not sure if that plan is still kicking around, but I've seen some people reporting mixed success if activated immediately. I didn't see the $55 for 20GB plan listed though so unless it's in the cart or already added for next renewal date the successor seems to be the $45 for 20GB which would be an ongoing plan if added to my account verses a 15 cycle promotion for the $35 for 20 GB.
Hope that makes some sense.
Good find.

For people with the FOMO attack, they can schedule a plan change on the next renewal date and cancel the scheduled plan change before the next renewal date.

I mean @will13am I will see if it works on renewal on Dec 26. I was the test subject for immediate renewal

So the scheduled plan change route remains an unproven quantity. 😥

Unfortunatly, for those trying to refer people, that program is almost non-existent now. The $1 in rewards or 1 point hasn't changed, but somethng happened to Public Mobile some time during the middle of 2020 with the customer churn greatly increasing, at least from my observations. Some time in late 2021, it became very difficult to refer anyone to Public Mobile. While I have noticed that current referrals on my account have become much more stable, I no longer bother trying to refer new people. Public Mobile used to be game changer. While the new plans and Black Fridays promotions are an improvement, Public Mobile has fallen behind in the plan offerings in the last couple of years. On social media, Public Mobile no longer gains the same attention nor atttracts the same excitement that it once did.
I recall 3 waves of customers coming to Public Mobile. First wave was 2016 fall promo. Second wave was the introduction of the $15 plan. Third wave is the current wave. Maybe this wave will stay a while considering $40/15GB with nominal rewards is pretty competitive.

I just checked the rewards T&C and unless I missed something that was very hidden, there is no rule against what you said XD.

@koen4224 Hmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder what it says in the T&C for friend referrals. BRB

I have one Family Friend I was helping in the last month and I noticed she was still on old rewards system, I've debated asking her if she wants to pay me less than her actual bill directly every month and I'll use her referral code to pay the Bill every month with referrals, but i dont want to get into hot water with Public for doing that. 🤣
I wish I never would have given up my old account, but now I'm stuck with the new system.

@brettster99 wrote:@koen4224 Agree with what @will13am said. I almost had the $55 dollar BF plan deal (that made it $35 for 15 months) to $10 a month because of a systems issue.
But I never said anything and they fixed it so it’s back to the $35 promo again.
@brettster99 , did you do an immediate plan change into that $35 promo or was it scheduled at renewal time.

Trust me I'm well aware, this is where I buy from for a majority of the time.
CCS is my all time favorite go to when I need Individual or wholesale SIM Cards for almost any Canadian Provider, incredible customer service and very fast shipping.

I have 3 being mailed out first thing tomorrow morning, and I've sent each of the clients their SIM Card numbers & my Friend Referral Code via Text so they can Pre-Activate them before arrival in case this deal ends quicker than expected, they can than Port their number in once it arrives and they can use it. This has worked tremendously well, all other clients are local and just wait to wait till closer to the end of their current billing cycle before porting in.
Glad your a supporter of the third party sales, I've felt kinda looked down upon for it when I'm just trying to give more access of Public to the Public since the SIM Cards are becoming increasingly harder to find everytime I need more.

I just wanted to figure out when the New Expiry date was since I have successfully referred over 20 friends since it started to one of these two Plans and many more are asking how long they have to buy a SIM Card and get it before it dissapears.
In that case you should be a good buddy and supply them with a SIM card immediately.

@koen4224 Dude, over 20 people? Are you on the new or old plan rewards system because if you are on the old one you be having free phone service by now.
Help me out 😂😂

@koen4224 , since these are not advertised promo, they could disappear from the self serve any minute. I compare these unadvertised deals to playing hide and seek. You don't go around yelling out where you are located. Stay quiet about the deal still being there and enjoy it while it is still available.
12-04-2022 10:47 PM
I doubt they are permanent so if they are still available I would jump on them if you need more data for a low price before they are removed.
