12GB for $60/mo promotion

A month ago I signed up for a "12GB for $60/mo" promotion (advertised to me by text). This morning I saw that my plan renewed for 10G/mo, with ~190MB left of a 2G bonus that rolled over. 

Does the 2GB renew itself when the 10GB is used up? I need to know this in advance because I don't have home internet and limit my daily data usage so it lasts the whole month.

Ours was pretty good at first but the following month it's pretty slow still.

2Mb speed on throttled/unlimited internet on Explornet? I didn't think their full speed was any better than that! We have friends on Explornet with the unlimited that barely was usable once they get to the throttled speeds.

The amount of renewals that this data bonus lasts is a matter of which promotion was offerred.to the customer and which promo code was actually used. At one point, there were two different 2GB data bonus offers.

If you are using this as home internet, have you looked at Rogers Infinite plans. For $75 you get 10GB full speed then unlimited data at 512kbps for the remainder of the month. I am currently using this as my office connection. I can sit on a RemoteDesktop VPN connection all day long and stream radio/music as well and do some light surfing while in throttled mode. 

We have to rely on xPlornet satilite for the remainder of our home internet needs. xPlornet also now offers unlimited data at 2MBps once you hit your limit but I have not tested that yet. But you are locked into a 1yr contract with xPlornet, in addition, there are some installation fees.

@ma_ranThat is what i gathered from that other thread...there was no mention it about it being bonus add on data...just bonus data. The mods will sort it out.

Thanks a lot! That is encouraging - it did sound like the 2Gb should be permanent from the text. There was only 1 promo code, can't imagine I typo'd a different valid code. Will contact a moderator.

@ma_ran   You signed up for the special by text offer...sign up by October 28th and enter a promo code that 12GB in it somewhere....there is another post about it and the bonus data was not appearing correctly at renewal. You definetly need a moderator to straighten it out. The bonus 2gb is permanent  so it leads me to believe it's not add ons but looks like in your case that's how they added to your account....and one time only. Did you put correct promo code in? Or whomever applied it to your account added the wrong kind 2gb bonus data.
