I've been told that unless you put an active telus sim card in a telus locked phone you cannot get any updates. I just want to see if someone can confirm this cause my Moto g4 play telus locked can't update.
I have a Moto G (3rd generation) that is locked to Telus. I have received at least one update since switching to Public Mobile with my active Public Mobile sim card installed. The update was done using wi-fi.
No I am not fine because my phone is stuck on june 2016 security update and telus is blocking the updates. With android the phone providers push/block updates they don't directly come from manufacture unless you buy directly from them.
