iMessaging not working after starting new billing cycle

Hi,

So this is the first time happening to me since I started with PM fall 2016. iMessaging on my iPhone is not working anymore since I started a new billing cycle 2 days ago. I can't send or receive texts using iMessage but can only send and receive using normal text messaging. It is already causing me problems with my workplace and family since people send me iMessages but I never receive them making them think I am ignoring them. Searched it online, said I should wait 24 hours. Been waiting for 48 hours now, nothing happened. I go to the settings and it says 'Waiting for activation' under iMessage. Got a strong wifi/internet connection, data and calling are working fine. Could someone help me solve this ASAP ?

Hi all: did some more research on this issue and apparently iMessage can take up to 24 hrs to update! https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201422 Robot surprised

Hi @bashcue,

If what @Luddite suggested above did not work, try the following:

  1. Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
  2. Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
  3. Restart your device by holding ON/OFF button and Home buttons at once for about 10 seconds
  4. Turn iMessage and FaceTime back on.

Still doesn't work, says waiting for activation under iMessage.
