Sim may be faulty. Simply return it and exchange it

That's great 🙂

Please verify that selfserve was created during the signup. If not you should do it https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/self-registration/

Login and check your status and balance.

If you forgot your friend's referral code during signup because you did it do many times it's still not too late, you can contact moderators and give them the code explaining that something went wrong during activation. You will get a extra $10.

Also check if you got your $2 for autopay it should show as balance

Welcome to public mobile and enjoy the savings:)

You will have to contact moderators.

What hapoens when you try to login to selfserve with the credentials you provided during the original activation? https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/

I  installed the sim card and my phone works. Eureka. Thank you for your help.

That was my thoughts as well. Sim is already used as in on the new account you created. Tgere May be other issues to work thorough but you've likely created an account with that SIM.

Ok. I'll try that.

Any luck?

If the phone works, next step would be to access your selfservehttps://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/

If it works your all set

If it didn't work then try registering your selfserve https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/self-registration/

If the phone doesn't work and you Are getting invalid sim over 24 hours now, then please contact moderators asap. https://publicmobile.ca.ada.support/chat/

Type human and chose to create a ticket

Thanks

I thought that this topic was closed since you accepted a solution. But it sounds like you have a damaged SIM and since you bought it directly from PM you should contact a moderator as mentioned above. Ask them for a credit or replacement. Personally, would  go the credit route and take my phone to a store that sells PM Sims and activate it there. Also use a referral code to get an additional $10 credit.

Try the sim in your phone before proceeding.

Activation form.

Did you try the sim in the phone? It's possible that you activated but the activation didn't totally go through. In some cases selfserve was not activated but the phone service was. If your sim works and you can't login to selfserve then you will have to register your selfserve account here https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/self-registration/ you will need the phone working for that though

The activation form is saying that.

@publicjoe wrote:

Yes. I entered it about 4 times because after entering all the information with payment voucher and tried to activate it took about two minutes in trying to activate on line and did not activate. I tried again three more times, but now it says "sim card invalid".

Hi @publicjoe

Wait for an hour and try again, it is locked in the previous session. Clear cache and nexttime try incognito mode, it should work

Sometimes vouchers need a day to be activated too. Where did you get the voucher avid when? You may have to try tonight or tomorrow.

If you can't do it by tomorrow please contact moderators

Ps dont forget your referral

Could you please clarify if it is the phone that says invalid sim card or the activation form

@publicjoe  Where did you buy the sim card from? If you get that message the first time you try activating the card online it means that the card had been previously activated. It is also possible that the PM servers are experiencing problems with new activations. Maybe try again in an hour.

Second person with the same problem. Did you try to activate it and got that message? Or did you get that message when you inserted it in the phone?

If its the former,  then contact a moderator.  Click on the green questionmar in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen. It takes you to Simon the autobot . Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one .

If it is the latter, the phone is probably locked to your previous provider . Contact them or the manufacturer directly and ask them to unlock it for you.

When you are trying to activate it that is the message you are getting?  Can you try to activate it with your browser in Private or incognito mode and see what happens?
