Samsung Galaxy J4 4G LTE Smartphone

Hi,

I was going to buy a Samsung Galaxy J4 Unlocked 4G LTE Smartphone for 150.00 US in Michiagn.

Public Mobile site says both IM # "should work on Public Mobile"

The phone is unlocked the salesman said it will work anywhere in the world on LTE Network.

The carriers listed are AT & T GSM

and T Mobile GSM

Any advise about this phone being a 4G 4G LTE working on Publics system?

Sim cards all come with knock out templates that are disposed of when installed in the phone. If you go to any mobile phone outlet ask them for the discarded template that will allow for sizing to your phones Public mobile Sim. It does not need to be a Public mobile outlet, all mobile phones use the same templates.

That's great news - it doesn't have the correct size slot for my sim, but I'll go to the kiosk and try it out. I dropped my old phone and it's cracked.

Yes it will work fine provided it is unlocked.

The Samsung site suggests it might get some connection but not all. It might be a bit light for this place.

Try any non-Rogers (to be sure) SIM and see if it connects fine and does calls/text/data.

@Patrick_R AT&T and T-Mo support are good signs.

Checking the spec sheet on GSM Arena ( https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_j4_core-9397.php ), I would say the SM-J410G/DS version has better LTE support than the SM-J410F/DS version, but either will work fine for calls, texts, and HSPA+ data.  Either will work for LTE in coverage in areas with band 5 or 7 coverage, but the SM-J410F/DS also offeres the "core" band 4 as well as bands 2, 12, 13, and 17 all of which are helpful too.  More info here:  https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Discussions/LTE-network-fundamentals/m-p/134356#M5822...
