I received a similar text message yesterday. As I'm on an older basic plan, I believe 50 calls /text messages per month, will these types of 'public message' reports count against my monthly limit?

@cory_c   You have unlimited incoming texts on the $10 plan, so incoming texts will not count.  You are limited to 50 outgoing texts and 50 incoming/outgoing calls on your plan.

@cory_c

It should not count.  You could verify by checking against your usage history.

You will get this once a while on cell service provider.

The message is legit and Public Mobile sends same message a few times a year.  CCTS is who to complain to if you have dispute with Public Mobile and you feel it isn't getting fixed in timely fashion.  Once you've seen this message, ignore future copies of it.

 These messages are mandated by the CRTC to be sent by every cell service provider every few months.
