The deal was spotted by Red Flag Deals commenters, who noted that it hasn’t been announced yet, but is available through self-serve.

If they're not going to strictly enforce the provincial residency requirement, PM might as well open the promo to all of Canada, seeing as they're already starting to honour it for other provincial residents who were able to select it.  As I noted already, it's going to be tricky to enforce anyway.

@SD08 I could not agree more!!!  I'm really upset that PM has now gone and crossed the region-specific promotion boundary.  Yet another errosion in the wonderful brand we used to know and love.  I've definitely made my negative feelings clear to @Jeremy_M in the oracle discussion area.  Unfortunately, I'm not optimistic that it will have any effect.  But at least I've voiced my extreme displeasure.

So, the workaround is activate with Ontario number, then port in any other number as a second step???  I have not played around with the self serve portal, is it possible to select ON as the location and select any area code number during activation?

Same here. Future dated three BC numbers in self serve.

For what it's worth, I'm in BC and can select the promotion under self-serve.

Note: I have not changed my plan to the promotion so cannot confirm an actual plan change.

Maybe the following is just a delay as Public Mobile updates the website, but the above image under the Promotions tab is currently only visible if your region is set to Ontario.

Edit: Thanks, @Luddite, for the FYI as I was typing my reply 🙂  A second FYI: when you "Click Here" on the promotion under the Plans tab, the plan total is not $141 as presumably should be before the $2 AutoPay reward/30 days.

Edit(ii): The plan total now displays as $141.

I don't know who is in charge of implementing changes to the self serve portal and web site.  This team needs some serious coaching on how not to do their job.  Crazy that there are so many bugs during roll out.  Now, I wonder if this promo is truly limited to those that select a phone number with an Ontario area code.

The wording on the plan page is weird though, it says:

- $45/90 days: Province-wide talk, global text and and 4GB of data on 4G LTE*

But it should say:

- $45/30 days: Province-wide talk, global text and and 4GB of data on 4G LTE*

or

- $135/90 days: Province-wide talk, global text and and 12GB of data on 4G LTE*
