Just changed sim card and cant receive any calls

I lost my phone and just bough the new sim card from walmart. I had changed the sim number through my account service. Now I can make the phone call but cant receive any calls. Please help.

@jemalaliso  it usually best to strat your own thread especailly if a thread is mareked as solve.

 

do outgoing calls work does your old sim card work?  these are key aspects of incomplete ports.  for hung ports you need to send mods a private message with the needed port information.  see below

 

How can you get help with your account, activation, or service?

In your message please include:

  • PM Phone Number, 4 digit PIN, Account email address, Detailed explanation of your issue

If you have a Porting issue, please also include:

  • The number you want to port, PM sim number, old account number, old account name exacly as on bill

Don't know your pin?--provide any 3 of the following:

  • Complete mailing address, Email address, Alternate phone number, Date of birth, Last top up date & amount

How long until they reply?:

  • Office Hours: Mon-Fri 9am to 9pm, and Sat-Sun 9am to 7:30pm [Totonto Time] from 9am to 7:30pm [Totonto Time].
  • Messages are replied to during business hours and in the order they are received
  • Typical response time is between 1-3 hours, depending on message queue, but can be up to 48 hours.
  • There is no need to send multiple messages.

It has been more than 24 hours now I have ported the number to public mobile and still it has not been ported correctly.

Is definitely a good idea to have the moderator team look into the problem if it persists.

first thing i woudl reboot phone. 

 

does anything else work/not work data sending receiveing texts.

 

as this is a lost phone (not a port) then porting issues shoudl not be an issue.

 

If rebooting doenst work then i would contact mods and ask them to look into it.
