Contact a mod.
Or make a new gmail address. Then change the email address on your Community account to the new gmail address. Once complete then delete the new gmail address.

@joesales if you like , just logon and remove all the information on your profile.
Check the option "Don't send me any community emails "
I guess that's all you can do. No need to officially close the account.

Don't know if it can be "closed". Just don't log in to it and it just goes dormant.

just not login.. you don't really need to close it.. there is really not much personal info. here.
