I’m an existing customer; how do I redeem my holiday gifts?

  1. Between December 1st - 15th, we’ll send you a text message with your holiday gifts. 
  2. To redeem them, just reply “YES” and your free data and international minutes will be automatically applied to your account. 

I’m not a customer yet; how do I redeem my holiday gifts?

  • No problem! All you have to do is buy a SIM card and activate before December 31st.  
  • These gifts will be automatically added to your account within a week, and we’ll send you a SMS to let you know.

 

What else you need to know:

  • Add-on offers are available for all new and existing customers from December 1st 9:00AM ET to December 31st 2021 11:59PM ET
  • Limit of one 2GB data add-on and one 500 min international calling add-on per customer. Add-ons are one-time only and will remain on your account until fully used 
  • $30 referral bonus is redeemable only once per customer. 
    • Customer must refer a friend between Dec 1-31st using their unique referral code
    • Friend must activate before Dec 31st 11:59PM EST
    • Customer will receive a $5 bill credit/month for 6 months, for a total of $30 as long as the referred friend stays with us
  • International calling covers the following countries: Canada, United States, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Venezuela

@laurajcj You probably did not get any reply after replying "YES". This also happened to me yesterday. I still don't see add-ons. Don't worry though, PM will know about these glitches and sort something out.

@laurajcj   it was supposed to be instant but there is a long delay, expect it shows up in your account after 24 to 48 hours.

 

(no worry, you are not alone, many replied YES and are waiting in line, too)

I got a text from Public Mobile offering me a 2GB gift and just requite me to reply "YES". But it is not added to my account after I replied "YES".

The only holiday bonus I ever got from Bell mobile was they putting my rate up each year, lol. So I guess that was a reverse bonus.   So once again thank you Public mobile/Telus

Sort of a PSA based on recent experience...  I received and replied to the 4911 SMS message on Dec. 1, and nuthin' to date.  I opened a ticket and communicated with a CS_Agent who acknowledged there's an issue, and advised "...if the SMT bugs are worked out, I believe that a confirmation text will arrive",  but to give it a few days for resolution. Now to wait and see how things unfold...

@Yuel   I received my text yesterday but still don't have the gifts added to my account yet.  But I'm not worried because I know they eventually will be added.  The system is probably overwhelmed right now and it's likely causing the delay.

If customers do not receive their SMS offer by mid-month or are unable to redeem because of a specific situation, our agents can help with next steps. However, I would strongly advise customers to wait until mid-December and return if they are still unable to redeem through SMS.

@Yuel It takes up to a week for the bonus data to show but most people report receiving the bonus data within 24-48 hours. I suggest being patient, it will show up!

@Yuel    Yes the gifts are not being added to the accounts immediately and lots of customers are still waiting.  It could take a couple of days before you see them, just be patient. 

 

I don't think rebooting your phone is going to add those holiday gifts to your account either.

Just as a FYI, the texts will be sent in batches until the 15th. Patience is essential!

maybe try to do Rebooting your phone ,This is quick and simple,to refreshing your network,

*what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.

got a text this morning (Dec 3, 11 am pst).. responded YES right away but no response and nothing in account.. been over 4 hours already. is this expected?

Will Public Mobile be giving away holiday gift this year? 

I didn't receive any texts or see anything posted.. 

This is my second or third year and the holiday gifts are one of my favourite things about public mobile. Please share if you know if it's coming.
