I received many more than 1 Bravo and sometimes did not make the 50%....something is definitely amiss or the criteria has changed.

So receiving at least one bravo combined with some other minimum criteria must be required to make you one of the group that the top 50% will be determined from.

@AE_Collector wrote:

Adding up the recipients of top 50% and higher comes to 110 people. That would imply that there were around 220 different participants on the forum in October (I would think). Maybe not 220 participants but rather 220 who received at least 1 bravo. (Depends on what "Top xx%" actually refers to). In any event, that leaves 2 (or maybe 3 if rounded up) positions available in the 1% category the way I see it.

And Yet there were well over 700 recipients of at least 1 Bravolast month....   😕

Good job everybody! Congrats to those who received a reward and keep helping new members. I've been on other prepaid forum sites from cell companies down in the states and PM does have an interesting system for the better.

1. Option to change your plan but future date it to your next renewal. Thats huge compared to some others that initiate your monthly change immidiately even if you just renewed your plan.

2. Actual rewards for your time helping them out.

Its alway nice to be appreciated.

Congratulations everyone! I wish I can get a top50% badge.Smiley Embarassed

Congratulations to the community as a whole....without your questions, queries, mistakes, phone issues, missing rewards, memory lapses, browser caches, new credit cards, plan changes, renewal panic attacks, flash sale follies, SIM card searches and poor customer service tribulations we wouldn't have anyone to help and a reason to be on the community. A big thank you to the oracles whose guiding hands, gentle prodding, positive reinforcement and wealth of knowledge has educated each and every one of us to become better contributers on the community so we can help more users resolve their issues quicker and without having to rely on either simple simon (?) Or wasting the valuable time of a moderator when we've been able to fix it ourselves with new work arounds and trouble shooting techniques coming from the top brass trickleing all the way down to the mere one post member. We all win here when the community stays relevant and on topic.

@GinYVR  "On a daily basis" has been in use for these announcements since at least March 2017 for the top levels.  Nothing really new there.  The community rewards scale was revamped in June 2018, while that wording was there before and since.

I'm sure that's averaged out and that it's just the total contribution over the whole month.  When there are only 2 or 3 spots in the top 1%, the likelihood of someone attaining the position unless being here every day is very low, but I would say not impossible.

@GinYVR wrote:

@pm-smayer97I think they had changed the formula for 1%. Now you need to be contribute every day. In the past it was just agregated montly volume.

Not concerned about the 1%...would never achieve that... don't spend enough time here, though did achieve the 5% more than once but 10% or even 50% used to be quite easy... not so much it seems lately even with my results.

It's possible but we don't really know for sure.  When there's less people receiving that reward, it makes it just that much harder for anyone to get it. I don't think it's actually every day contributions that are needed. It's just that it would be near impossible to post 600 message/receive 600 bravos in one day.  If somone doesn't contribute on a given day, that gives everyone the opportunity to catch up or pass that person.

Hi @ShawnC13 !

I just looked up the number of community members on the Bravos Leaderboard.  731 people were active during the last month in the community.

So, 0.01 % of 731 users is roughly 7 or 8 depending on if you round up or down.

Not sure why only 2 people qualify 😄

Maybe we should unionize.

What do you suggest that the pay rate be set at? $20/hr?

Thank you and congratulations to the people who make this site great.

The total payout does seem to be declining slowly.  Some numbers to consider for the last 6 months. The numbers were higher in the first half of the year.

May 2019

~956 ppl earned >= 1 bravo; 132 ppl recd rewards $500 (x2): Oracles=8, 1%=3, 5%=10, 10%=12, 25%=36, 50%=63
(May rewards paid twice by error)

June 2019
~802 ppl earned >= 1 bravo; 127 ppl recd rewards $484: Oracles=8, 1%=3, 5%=9, 10%=12, 25%=34, 50%=61

July 2019
~788 ppl earned >= 1 bravo; 125 ppl recd rewards $487: Oracles=8, 1%=3, 5%=11, 10%=9, 25%=33, 50%=61

August 2019
~1000 ppl earned >= 1 bravo; 134 ppl recd rewards $492: Oracles=8, 1%=3, 5%=9, 10%=12, 25%=35, 50%=67

Sep 2019
~930 ppl earned >= 1 bravo; 125 ppl recd rewards $482: Oracles=8, 1%=3, 5%=9, 10%=12, 25%=34, 50%=59

October 2019
~730 ppl earned >= 1 bravo; 110 ppl recd rewards $434: Oracles=8, 1%=2, 5%=8, 10%=11, 25%=28, 50%=53

I have noticed every since Andu_S started posting the Top Contributors list the numbers are WAY down for those who qualify. Not sure if they changed their formula or budget or something.

I used to easily qualify for more wit the same relative volume of participants and bravos, and no matter how you slice it, I should be in the 10% group, but twice I did not make even the 50%. Something has definitely changed.

Regardless, congrats to all who earned. It really is about being a help to others. The rest is just a side bonus.

Congrats everyone! Thank you for making this community awesome!

I wasn't super active/helpful in October so I wasn't sure if I would get a badge, but I did! I'm so happy! Thanks PM!

Congradulations everyone.  Keep up the good work.

Yes it feels good! Even more surprising to me is that I have been getting a reward for 7 months straight now, moving up the ladder by one rung two months ago. And I am now just weeks away from hitting my 1 year anniversary and my Entry Level Loyalty Reward!

Good job everybody! Congrats to those who received a reward and keep helping new members.

I was beginning to think they were rolling October and November together this month! But, at long last the announcement and badges have arrived!

When crunching the numbers remember that you would add the number of recipients from all categories together to get about 50% of the monthly participants. Because if you are top 10% you don't slot into the top 50%, top 25% and top 10% categories, you land in only the top 10% category.

Adding up the number of participants who got to 50% + 25% + 10% + 5% + 1% + the Oracles should add up to about 50% of the total monthly forum participants.....I would think. This months number receiving a badge/reward is 110. How do we see how many either participated or maybe how many got at least 1 Brovo for the calendar month of October?

My math is off.  0.01% is just a fraction of a fraction of 1 person.

Here are some other numbers:  All time membership count in the community is just under 15,000.  3750 People have been active in the last 6 months.  6300 in the last year.

Depending on where the cut-off is chosen, 0.01% of users can be anywhere from 0.073 to 1.5 people.  So its safe to assume that the calculation took into account the all-time membership count and rounded up the 1.5 to 2.

I don't know how you got your numbers but it hasn't been shown as .01% or .1% or .5% for a while now. It's 1% and 5% and 10% so that 1% would be calculated using .01 without the percent sign.
