National Pay it Forward day

- pay for coffee/meal of the person who's standing in line behind you; or

- shovel your neighbours sidewalk; or

- cut your neighbours grass; or

- offer to take care of your friend's kids so they can have a date night out; or

- anything else that does something nice for someone without you getting anything in return

Today I'm Not Doing Anything:

Everyone hangs out at home in their PJs, eats cereal or waffles, and leftovers, and Doesn't Do Anything. Definitely no emails or social media (e.g. no perfectly-posed fake-casual "look how much nothing I'm doing" 😉 )

Accompany A Senior Day :  Every 3rd Monday of September

A holiday where everyone has the opportunity to meet and hang out with an elderly citizens living at home alone, at their assisted living facility or their nursing home. By simply accompanying them throughout their day whether it is to play, discuss, sing, dance, eat, learn from their experience, teach them a new skill/hobby or even take a walk around their neighbourhood for some groceries; whatever whims the day may call for.

Hopefully, it would help them keep loneliness from grinding away at their spirit and vivacity while also giving them opportunities to make new friends of every age.

Wow. All these incredible ideas. It's a random draw though. Not a judged draw. But it's amazing to see these great ideas. Maybe we should all just do them anyway. I'm not sure I'm that good a person though 🙂
