Okay, so from what I can tell is that no one is having any issues setting up an e-sim as a second phone line on a phone.

That was my question -- has anyone had any problems, not how to do it.
But thanks everyone for the information anyway.

I have a phone with an existing PM line. Physical sim. My phone (google pixel) supports one e-sim plus one traditional sim. I am looking to get a second PM # on the same phone using the e-sim.

Any one do this? I searched the community and I couldn't see any comments about this specific situation, and I'd like to verify that there isn't issues to do this before I go ahead and get the second number purchased and setup.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I was more concerned about the setup on the PM side. I have had dual sim phones before but they were traditional sims. There just seems to be a number of comments about issues with the e-sim.

Thanks.

You have to use a different email address. You can’t use the same email for both accounts…1 email/1 account.

If you did then the last account will supersede the first account/number.

@CPB_Canada

tried myself, no problem at all.

Again, the PM side is easy, it is more whether you can manage to set the line preference correcty

and one more tips., when setting up the esim, install PM app on where the phone going to have the eSIM. If the phone has an PM account account, logout completely before you set up a second account. Some might even want to uninstall and reinstall PM app if you worry the app cache up messed up the account. And to make setting up eSIM easier, remove the physical sim first. Setup the eSIM as primary. Use the line to confirm it is working perfectly. Then put the physical sim back, make the physical sim Primary and set the eSIM secondary.
