Deleting data

I recd an email that stated my account had used 75% of allowable data. I am a neophyte - how do i delete data? What constitutes data? I haven't a great lot of photos saved, no files, maybe a few notes. Do downloaded apps use data?

data used is not storage used. You cannot delete data.

and yes, downloading app and pictures and browsing outside of your home wifi will use Data

Your phone uses Data to connect to the internet when you are away from your house and no longer connected to your home Wi-fi. Does your phone connect to your home Wi-fi? Have you set it up to do so?

The amount of Data you have available to you depends on what phone plan you have and the data allotment of that plan.

If you have a 100GB monthly plan, Public Mobile will notify you when you’ve used 75GB. If you use up all 100GB before your plan renews for the next billing cycle, you won’t be able to use any apps, make calls, or send text messages unless you purchase additional data. Please be careful.

I think I get it! Reduce the number of plants I try to identify, don't do searches or answer emails without WiFi ! Thanks everyone.
