Hi,

Just wanted to say how simple it was to renew my plan with the Fall Promo.

Selected change plan, topped up my account and 2 minutes later everything is set up and working perfectly!

I decided to use the Hangouts Dialer for outgoing LD calls, as well as adding an LD add-on to handle incoming calls when I am out of province.

Small tip for anyone interested: there is an alternative dialer/contacts app called Drupe. Drupe is really cool because it acts as an app launcher for your contacts: so I can configure it to launch Hangouts dialer or the stock android dialer, depending on which contact I am calling. Check it out at the Google Play Store.

I did, I wanted to make sure I took advantage of the promo without risking a service interruption or having to bug a moderator to fix my plan.

I'm really happy to to have joined PM. It's a first class network at a great price.. and a great community to boot!

I'm testing Hangouts on my iPhone 6S, and I want to show my Public Mobile number as the outgoing Caller ID. However, I get the below error message.

Do you guys know how to get this to work?

Soemthing called Bluestacks is mentioned that has helped some people past this error.

Thank you for referencing the Google forums. I found the solution on that thread, and was able to get the outgoing caller ID to work on iOS. However, I did not use the Bluestacks option.

Hi,

You have to make the changes from an android phone. When you enable the outbound caller ID on any iPhone it will not let you do that.

So for this reason you have to use a android phone to enable the outbound caller ID.

Once you enable it Google will ask you your pm phone number to verify. Do the verification process and all set.

Now you can use your iPhone to make hangouts call and it will show your pm number as an outbound caller ID. Please let me know your result. Thanks.
