Hi,

I am going on a Alaskan cruise this summer and was wondering if I can use my phone. I have the North American package but doesn't seem reliable when I go to the US. We are stopping at ports along the way and would like to use it if possible.

yes, the Canada-US-Mexico plan will work in Alaska just like other US states

While PM has 3 roaming partners in US (AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile), the AT&T is the only PM roaming partner that has services in Alaska. Also, only major city area and bigger towns will have A&T coverage. Make sure you check AT&T coverage map to confirm their coverage in Alaska.

When you are in US, make sure you turn on Roaming data. Usually you can leave the Network mode to Automatic, but if your phone has trouble locating service provider in Alaska, you might want to change to Manual and choose AT&T from the list
