How do I get into contact with a different agent, they haven’t responded in over 45 minutes and I really don’t want to explain my story again.

sometimes agent takes long to reply, you will just have to message them again for update

It's like making a phone call. If you don't want to speak to that person, hang up and call again. BUT, you will have to explain all over again if you do that. You just need to have patience, hard as it is and wait. Forty five minutes is not that long.
