    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/366699"&gt;@Ron_B&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;While Public Mobile and Koodo and Telus all share the same network, Public Mobile offers different service features with different device requirements.&amp;nbsp; It is true that&amp;nbsp;PM maintains a different whitelist from Koodo and Telus, a shorter list.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But Galaxy S10E is a 7 years old phone and has reached the end of its support lifecycle years ago.&amp;nbsp; The last security update was back in 2023.&amp;nbsp; So, it has been 3 years without any security patch.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;With phone being an important part of daily life with many sensitive apps installed (banking, financial, authenticator, mail, etc) ,&amp;nbsp; it’s recommended to upgrade to a newer device to continue receiving regular security updates and safeguard your data&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The Samsung S10 is VoLTE compatible but, apparently, Public Mobile refuses to white list it for VoLTE. How can we twist their arm so they do it, so the phone continues to work on their network after shutdown of the 3G network?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think you have a good question here, my wife have a S10E and Public say it is not compatible with VoLTE, but if a check the IEM on Telus and Koodo it is compatible, same towers and same network.&amp;nbsp; My wife have a 4G plan and using the the VoLTE now and it is working, why public will black list some cell VoLTE compatible.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;By the way, i was able to find a old thread with the same question in 2023 and the answer by the agent was yes it will work on Public VoLTE network.&amp;nbsp; &lt;A href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Get-Support/VoLTE-on-Samsung-Galaxy-S10e/td-p/96474..." target="_blank"&gt;https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Get-Support/VoLTE-on-Samsung-Galaxy-S10e/td-p/96474...&amp;nbsp;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The only think i can see is, public is trying to move clients to Koodo and Telus charge more expensive plan.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Not shure my answer will stay here long, some reply to this thread were deleted because answer like the one post by softech indicate what Public want.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There is no reason a S10 or S10E working on the same network of Telus and Koodo would not work on Public, same tech and hardware and same owner.&amp;nbsp; It is a&amp;nbsp;business decision target&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I like your last answer, it it show clearly the S10E is compatible with the VoLTE, but Public create a blacklist to remove the old phone to avoid support and help to the client.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is a shame for the client who use there cell only for talk, SMS, GPS and simple web research&amp;nbsp; to remove the service for them by Blacklist them only for administrative business decision / money and make more money.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The old time from Public who offer a very good service for the client to a reasonable price is in the past.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;By the way, i receive a email&amp;nbsp; from your tech service and yes the S10E VoLTE is compatible but Public do not want&amp;nbsp; supported.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are in the time to change cell often, pay more and create a lot of electronic garbage by the obligation of changing&amp;nbsp; by administrative decision not technical reasons.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Shame on Public and End of discussion for me&lt;/P&gt;</description>

So they can work on the network still !!!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Seems very odd - maybe just trying to get more money out of those of us on the cheaper older plans - or push us to move to Telus or Koodo?       <description>&lt;P&gt;My sister has an S10+ which is compatible on Telus's list but not on Public's.&amp;nbsp; After checking the forums I saw that some people had had success with a different firmware to turn on VoLTE so I figured it is worth a shot since she is looking at having to replace the phone anyway.&amp;nbsp; I tried a few firmwares but after I flashed the unbranded samsung firmware of the us model, lo and behold the VoLTE option was there and making a few calls it worked beautifully, probably even better than when the phone switched to 3g to make calls.&amp;nbsp; Problem solved right?&amp;nbsp; Told her to message public and have them wave the fee.&amp;nbsp; They messaged back that the phone would work with Koodoo and Telus but not Public Mobile because they have different bands.&amp;nbsp; Telus owns Koodoo and Public.&amp;nbsp; They use the same towers.&amp;nbsp; I had already tested it and it worked with a public mobile Sim on their network.&amp;nbsp; Funny thing is that after she talked to customer support the VoLTE option disapeared off of her phone again.&amp;nbsp; I guess they really don't want people to be able to use keep using their old phones.&amp;nbsp; Lucky's compatibility checker says her phone is VoLTE compliant.&amp;nbsp; Lucky's plans are better too.&amp;nbsp; Public is already on thin ice because they got rid of everyone's loyalty bonus and turned it into those stupid points nobody wants.&amp;nbsp; I think its time to look at Bell again.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for posting that &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":thumbs_up:"&gt;👍&lt;/span&gt;- looks like it is just a money grabbing change then... I don't think there are any better deals than I have with PM so I guess they have got me there. My phone is 6 years old and does pretty much everything I want.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;No AI, audio jack, decent camera and once I can be bothered to pop in the new battery I bought about 2 years ago all should be good again &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:"&gt;🤣&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":canada:"&gt;🇨🇦&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
