3G Shutdown Can I Wait

I'm in Ontario. Can i keep my old Samsung phone/PM plan until March of 2027? Is there a need to rush get a new phone or switch to Telus?

You do have until atleast March of next year so there is no need to do anything right now. It's up to you. Research phones and carriers carefully before you do anything. I wouldn't worry about it for now.

That is my understanding, too. We can use 'old' phones until 3G is gone (in ON).

no rush, but still sooner the better

the end of 3G won't really come till March 2027, but between now and then, PM will move some 850hz band to 5G, so the 3G coverage might be less in some area and it could cause unreliable voice calls.

So, if you are getting a new phone, get it sooner
