topic Porting Error - Retaining Phone No. in Get Support

Like many others, I am currently in porting limbo where I do not have service. As of this morning, my Fido account was deactivated. I have messaged the mods and understand that I have to wait for them to get to it (huge backlog). My concern at this point in time is if my phone number (which I would like to keep) is at risk? Since I do not have any service right now, is it possible that I'll lose my phone number?

Thanks in advance.

Did you de-activate your fido account, or did Public do it. If PM did it I would think that means your nearly resolved. I went through the porting issue, but kept previous account open, until the porting was complete. You should receive a mod message or text soon!

Funny, right after I posted a mod finished up the port. For anyone reading this, I started the port on Friday (failed activation like many others), lost all service from Fido this morning (noticed it at 6 a.m.) and mod was able to finish it up just a few minutes ago.

I did keep my phone number. Thanks to @Shazia_K!
